Let the history search propose candidates
Open an activity → More actions → Find similar. The Pro search inspects same-sport history and returns up to 50 matches with the available comparison evidence. Review the candidates before choosing recordings for Activity Comparison. No results is a legitimate outcome.
Understand what makes a match
Candidates share the broad sport and a comparable duration, within 20% of the source. With usable GPS, route overlap contributes evidence; with suitable power, effort comparison uses power evidence. Where power is unavailable, duration and heart rate provide a narrower fallback. A match is a useful candidate, not proof of identical conditions or equal physiological demand.
Compare the candidates that answer your question
Choose the sessions relevant to your question, then open the comparison. The search can find 50 results, but the whole-activity comparison still accepts five including the source. For a short repeated effort inside longer sessions, use Find Similar Intervals instead of treating the whole sessions as equivalent.
